Short answer
The calculator runs in the browser and does not require an account, payment, or document upload. If a user requests an emailed checklist, Best Mortgage Offers stores the email address, consent choices, source page, technical anti-spam details, and a limited calculator summary so the checklist and any opted-in updates can be sent.
The current calculator is designed to run client-side in the browser. It does not require users to create an account or upload documents.
If a user creates or shares a calculator URL, that URL may include scenario values such as purchase price, location, dates, down payment, deposit, and builder treatment. Users should avoid sharing a URL if they do not want those values visible to someone with the link.
If a user emails Best Mortgage Offers or submits the calculator checklist form, the site may receive the email address, optional first name, message or form content, source page, consent choices, user agent, anti-spam verification details, and any information voluntarily included.
Checklist requests and optional Ontario mortgage-tool or rebate-rule updates are tracked separately. Update emails identify Best Mortgage Offers and include an unsubscribe mechanism. Users should not send sensitive documents, SINs, banking details, mortgage approvals, agreements, or closing packages by email.
The public site uses Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, first-party calculator events, Cloudflare Turnstile, and hosting/security logs for performance, abuse prevention, and aggregate product improvement. Analytics events are designed to avoid contact details, document contents, and exact calculator dollar values; calculator amounts are bucketed and calculator-state URL parameters are stripped before analytics storage.
Lead records are stored in Cloudflare D1. Checklist email delivery, if enabled for a request, uses the configured transactional email path and the consent choices submitted with the form.
Best Mortgage Offers does not sell calculator input data. If document upload, payments, or a professional lead handoff are added later, this page must be updated before launch of those features.
The current site does not accept document uploads. A document-assisted workflow should not launch without an updated privacy policy, retention policy, secure storage decision, deletion controls, and explicit user review before extracted values affect an estimate.
